Contact Drawn Mathematics
Updated
Every message goes to contact@drawnmathematics.com, the address linked at the foot of every page.
What to send
- Errors, above all mathematical errors and errors in diagrams. Give the page address, quote the sentence or name the figure, and say what is wrong. A counterexample, a calculation or a reference makes a report much quicker to test.
- Leads on public-domain plates or openly licensed photographs that could illustrate a topic. Send the link to the source page and point to its license statement. An image is used only if it is in the public domain or under CC0, the Public Domain Mark, CC BY or CC BY-SA, and only after the license of that individual file has been checked.
- Counterexamples to puzzle answers. If you have found an arrangement that an article says cannot exist, or a solution that a count left out, describe it precisely. Coordinates on a square grid are ideal.
Questions about reusing a diagram are answered on Borrow these drawings; write if something there is unclear.
What this address does not handle
These fall outside what the site covers (see Why draw it):
- Homework, test or exam answers.
- Coaching for mathematics contests.
- Advice on buying origami paper, drawing tools or apps.
- Folding instructions or crease patterns for models by modern origami designers.
- Checking whether a crease pattern of your own will fold.
After you write
There is no promised reply time. When a report leads to a correction, the change appears with its date at the foot of the article and on Corrections and redraws. How facts are checked is described on Checking the construction, and how messages are handled is on Privacy practices.
